How do I find the text or status of a bill?
The General Court website allows you to find the text of House bills, Senate bills, as well as the Bill History and Status of any bill before each chamber.
How do I apply for state benefits and programs?
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts website has helpful links through which residents can get information on applying for unemployment, finding a job, receiving home heating assistance, applying for child support, applying for food stamps, and various other state benefits.
Where can I find out about the use of federal stimulus money in Massachusetts?
The state has established www.mass.gov/recovery where citizens can track stimulus spending and get other information about the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) in Massachusetts.

Our office can not provide you with legal advice or intervene in a pending legal proceeding. If you do not already have an attorney, please contact the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation to find legal resources and assistance.
The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office is also a good resource for legal issues including consumer complaints, workplace rights, public safety and victim assistance.
How do I register to vote? Where do I vote once I am registered?
The Secretary of State’s website provides information on Voter Registration and Your Election Information, which includes a list of your elected officials and your polling location.
How does the legislative process work in Massachusetts?
